Ever wondered what it’s like to be a server moderator?

Modcord puts you right in the hot seat. Messages keep flowing, users keep pushing the limits, and it’s your job to decide who stays and who gets banned.

Not every rule is obvious.
Not every message is bad.
And sometimes… the problem is you.

🔨 Your role

• Moderate a growing server full of unpredictable users

• Read incoming messages and ban users who break the rules

• Be careful: wrong bans have consequences

ℹ️ About this project

Modcord was created for Mini Jam 202 under strict time constraints.

Due to the limited development time, chat messages and user names were generated with the help of AI tools to speed up content creation and allow the team to focus on gameplay and systems.

The jam theme was “Power Up”, which is reflected in the way the player gradually becomes more powerful:
as you ban users, you unlock new rules, gaining more control over the server and shaping it to your will.

The limitation for the jam was “Ridiculously Overpowered”, and what could be more overpowered than a moderator with absolute authority?

This project is a short experimental experience made for the jam, and some mechanics may feel rough or intentionally minimal.

👉 Recommended to play in fullscreen, as the game contains a lot of small text that may be difficult to read in windowed mode.
